Shine for the Week #1!
from this week onward, i am going to post some practical, lifestyle skills on this blog, so that this place will not just be a place of revelation, but a place of empowerment!:) remember we are to have STRENGTH, to SURRENDER, and to SHINE! so this helps all of you to shine for Jesus in your world, in the marketplace!:D what is my talent?some may ask...how can i discover them..it is beyond just important to find out what are you talents and skills, as God made YOU for a SPECIFIC purpose and destiny, to impact SPECIFIC ones, and to be a SPECIFIC piece of God's puzzle!!
when you think of fish, you think of fins, swimming, water...
when you think of car, you think of wheels, road, traffic lights..
but when you think of sarah, you think of?
or when you think of joanna, you think of?
hmmm, how about andre...you think of guitar? but is that really what andre is meant to do? why not debate, or politician..or writer..or...hmmmmm...
all of us need to be in our element to feel that we are achieving a destiny..God has placed a slice of eternity in our hearts..and that slice cannot be satisfied..unless we are in the right place, the right time, doing the right thing, serving the right people, with the right God!
so who do you represent?what are your talents and skills?why must we really use them?what's the big deal?
well..have you seen people with great voices (like charice pempengco) and hear them sing..more often that not, people are awestruck by their talent..and celebrates with them!
you know why?
because when we are doing what we love, and what we are MADE to do, we become ENTHUSIASTIC about it!!!
and the very root meaning of ENTHUSIASTIC is being IN GOD..so when you are operating in your talents and skills, you in His presence, in His will, doing the things He wants you to do:)
so what are your talents?
Answer these questions on a piece of paper:
1. what do you love to do? what is the things that you do that makes you feel happy and fulfilled? (e.g. Ariel and Drawing --> duh!)
2. what are some of the things you see in this world that you are most unhappy about?that provokes you the most?
3. what kind of personality are you?and what experiences have you had in your life? painful ones, joyful ones, victorious ones, defeating ones (all counts!cos God made you go through them for a reason!
the answer to 1. is the skills or talents that God has placed in you..they are your instruments..
the answer to 2. is the thing in this world God has impressed in you to CHANGE and make a TRANSFORMATION...
the answer to 3. is the executions of your talents and skills, and now have made your instruments (in 1.) even stronger, more updated and effective..(like having a nokia 5200 and having a HTC rose..wahaha ;P )
so guys!lets go out there and operate in what you are good at, always being IN GOD, and having Him always working through us and in us:D
