The best movie to best describe a man being a fool for Christ would probably Evan Almighty.
If yall watched the movie, he was a man with an awesome job, being a congress. One day, he prayed for unity in his family and God told him to build an arc.
Evan wasn't the most obedient or faithful person because there were times where he wanted to give up, but God did funny things to probably "fool" him in the eyes of man so that he would carry on.
Well, he was suspended from his job and everyone made him sound like a fool because he was building an arc (God's work at that time)
Most of us would probably have given up by the time we think that our job is at stake, but what amazed me most was that, though his family left him, he was suspended from his job, he still carried on building the Arc !
Well, he was embarrassed by everyone, he ignored, he was a fool... BUT ! all things turned out to be what God had planned in the beginning.
It was because Evan was faithful to doing God's work, despite all the laughings, the losing of his family, he was able to have a family which was more united..
It was because Evan was a fool for Christ, despite all the embarrassment, the losing of his job, he was able to be a testimony for God and run for President.
Guys, being a fool for Christ isn't easy.. You will lose A LOT of things (no doubt), but God always know how to reward you and we all know that His rewards are FARRRR GREATER than anything else.
Can we rise up to the occasion by being a testimony for Christ even if we have to be a fool for Him? ((:
